Our activity is so weather-dependent and the weather is so changeable, that our flying sessions are usually planned on pretty short notice.

If you'd like to have some company when you fly, you can easily start a flying session by scrolling to the bottom of this page and clicking on "Leave a reply" to this Topic. Just indicate the day, and time that you intend to arrive at the field, and invite other members to join you.

Or, you can "Leave a reply" to accept another person's invitation to form a flying session. People intending to join in should post a Reply, because multiple Replies fuel additional interest.

To "Leave a reply", you will need log in to the Message Board using the username and password that were issued to you. If you've lost them, you can use the lost your password functionality to trigger a password reset - if you do not see a response within a few minutes, be sure to check your Junk/SPAM folder for the password reset email.

If you are not able to complete a reset because your registered email address is not current you can either register with a new username OR Contact our Website Administrator Tim Glover <tglover51@hotmail.com> for additional assistance.

Note that new registrations require manual administrative review so there may be an additional delay if you choose this option.

Thursday Morning Update:
As pretty well expected for this time of the year, Friday's weather at Burford is not looking promising at all! As I write this post, it is dead calm outside, but cold. They are calling for high winds today at Burford! They better be right or we just blew a great opportunity to go flying! At any rate I'm going to pull the plug on going to the field tomorrow. I will be watching the weather predictions for a possible weather window in the upcoming weeks. Bound to get some decent flying weather soon I hope!

Cheers!

Lyle

Afternoon:
As crazy as this sounds, I been looking at the weather reports for the coming week, and this Friday they are calling for 7-11 km winds from the West, with temperatures around 4C! Although not ideal, they might be good enough to allow me to toss a bunch of planes that I need to check the CG's on.

I realize it's still early days, but I am keeping my eye on the weather reports in the meantime.

Best,

Lyle

The only way I can find time and survive these days is to plan ahead. As of now Weds/Thurs next week look possible. I can't make Thurs but will on Weds if my optimism isn't blown away.

Sunday 04/20 Right now, Wednesday looks very promising - keeping fingers crossed for the forecast to hold in which case I plan to be there.
Will post update closer to the day

I'm on for Weds provided the forecast stays constant. Arriving around 10 am when it starts to warm up.

Morning!
As luck would have it, tomorrow is our last indoor session at Syl Apps arena in Paris! A number of us will be flying the Bluenose P18 indoor FF model that we built at our February session. We have entered a postal contest set up by the NFFS, that closes on April 30th. So tomorrow is our last kick at the can to try and better our flight duration times.

And Thursday, I will be busy taking my granddaughter to appointments....sigh....

Anywho....I hope the weather co-operates for those of you that do make it to the field, enjoy your first time out for the season!

Best,

Lyle
