Our activity is so weather-dependent and the weather is so changeable, that our flying sessions are usually planned on pretty short notice.

If you'd like to have some company when you fly, you can easily start a flying session by scrolling to the bottom of this page and clicking on "Leave a reply" to this Topic. Just indicate the day, and time that you intend to arrive at the field, and invite other members to join you.

Or, you can "Leave a reply" to accept another person's invitation to form a flying session. People intending to join in should post a Reply, because multiple Replies fuel additional interest.

To "Leave a reply", you will need log in to the Message Board using the username and password that were issued to you. If you've lost them, you can use the lost your password functionality to trigger a password reset - if you do not see a response within a few minutes, be sure to check your Junk/SPAM folder for the password reset email.

If you are not able to complete a reset because your registered email address is not current you can either register with a new username OR Contact our Website Administrator Tim Glover <tglover51@hotmail.com> for additional assistance.

Note that new registrations require manual administrative review so there may be an additional delay if you choose this option.

Afternoon:
I know Paul's pee 'n poo palace has been removed, and this flying season's getting rather long in the tooth, but I was looking at the weather report and Saturday looks quite doable.....anybody in?

At the moment, I don't have an electric sailplane to fly, but if I work at it I might have my 2.9m Inside F5J ready!

Cheers!

Lyle

Sunday actually looks slightly better than Saturday, though both days flyable.
At noon both days:
Sat 10C 30% PoP 10-15 kph west cloudy with sunny breaks
Sun 9C 10% PoP 8-12 kph north mostly sunny. Given more sun might be better conditions.

I can't go both days but will go with the majority for company, - unless I get pre-empted by family commitments, though free at present.

Looks like a nice south wind today. I'm going about 12:00.
Forcast winds were 20-25 kph, actual winds were 35 gusting to 45. It was warm and summy though.

UPDATE Weds 5:30 pm. The wind now looks just below marginal for any good lift on both the Weather Network and Windfinder. So unless it changes to make it worthwhile by early Thurs I'm not going.

Thurs pm is looking possible. 18-27 kph S 13C. Will update Weds.

Planning to be there around noon to 12:30. Weather 17C wind 20-30 kph due south. Can't be bad for early March.

Wednesday morning update!
Wind & Waves is predicting at 11 am, Sunny, East winds at a steady 11 kph, with 6C temperatures! Sounds encouraging! However, The Weather Network is painting a different picture at 11 am, increasingly stronger, East winds gusting from 15-23 kph, sunny and 6C. I'm not a fan of strong ,gusting winds! Whenever I've run into problems, it's usually due to flying in strong winds.

From past experience we know these predictions don't always match actual conditions! Personally, I'm going to make my final decision whether to go or not, after I get up tomorrow and check the weather.

Cheers!
Lyle

Morning!
Looking ahead into next week, Thursday is looking promising! I'm going to keep an eye on Wind and Waves app and will update the post in a couple of days!

Meanwhile, keep yer batteries charged just in case!

Cheers!
Lyle
