Our activity is so weather-dependent and the weather is so changeable, that our flying sessions are usually planned on pretty short notice.

If you'd like to have some company when you fly, you can easily start a flying session by scrolling to the bottom of this page and clicking on "Leave a reply" to this Topic. Just indicate the day, and time that you intend to arrive at the field, and invite other members to join you.

Or, you can "Leave a reply" to accept another person's invitation to form a flying session. People intending to join in should post a Reply, because multiple Replies fuel additional interest.

To "Leave a reply", you will need log in to the Message Board using the username and password that were issued to you. If you've lost them, you can use the lost your password functionality to trigger a password reset - if you do not see a response within a few minutes, be sure to check your Junk/SPAM folder for the password reset email.

If you are not able to complete a reset because your registered email address is not current you can either register with a new username OR Contact our Website Administrator Tim Glover <tglover51@hotmail.com> for additional assistance.

Note that new registrations require manual administrative review so there may be an additional delay if you choose this option.

They are harvesting the sod in the north field. 😭

There was heavy equipment and many pallets of harvested sod on the field when we arrived Sunday. Since there was no activity, we flew around the obstructions, but come Monday, I expect GH to be actively harvesting and the field to be off limits.

We had a great last day of soaring. Conditions were perfect. ❤️

Nov 4-5 Westover

Record high temperatures for November. Winds are forecast to be good to too strong depending on the model. If conditions look good I'll be out there.

If the forecast hold planning to be at the field Sunday about 10 am, before the rain starts ~2 PM.
Saturday looks good too but slightly more gusty,

See you there if the weather co-operates.

Wind forecast for today looks better than Sunday. I'm heading over to the field this morning. Arriving about 11:00.

Good call Ann, I'm sorry now I decided on Sunday as it looks like a blow out. I won't be going Sunday unless it changes in the next ~20 hrs.

Morning!
Looking ahead this week, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday all look favourable for a flying session. Thursdays looks to be the most promising, so I plan on arriving around 10 am. I will be bringing a couple of UMX planes, the Radian and the Timber X, as that is all I can legally fly at the moment.

Best,
Lyle

Update:
I just checked Wind & Waves @ noon, Tuesday, and of now the winds are predicted to be stronger on Thursday! So I am going to go tomorrow, Wednesday, as it now looks to be the better day.
