Our activity is so weather-dependent and the weather is so changeable, that our flying sessions are usually planned on pretty short notice.

If you'd like to have some company when you fly, you can easily start a flying session by scrolling to the bottom of this page and clicking on "Leave a reply" to this Topic. Just indicate the day, and time that you intend to arrive at the field, and invite other members to join you.

Or, you can "Leave a reply" to accept another person's invitation to form a flying session. People intending to join in should post a Reply, because multiple Replies fuel additional interest.

To "Leave a reply", you will need log in to the Message Board using the username and password that were issued to you. If you've lost them, you can use the lost your password functionality to trigger a password reset - if you do not see a response within a few minutes, be sure to check your Junk/SPAM folder for the password reset email.

If you are not able to complete a reset because your registered email address is not current you can either register with a new username OR Contact our Website Administrator Tim Glover <tglover51@hotmail.com> for additional assistance.

Note that new registrations require manual administrative review so there may be an additional delay if you choose this option.

Update:
Wind predictions have increased somewhat to 13-15 kph, but still doable, imo! I will be there tomorrow as planned!

Morning!
Looking ahead to next week on the Wind & Waves weather site, Tuesday looks to be about the best day for some thermal seeking! Of course things can change but for the moment, I am planning on heading to the field hoping to arrive around 9:30 am or thereabouts.

Check your calendars, and join me if you can. As great as our new field is, flying with friends is the best part....

Cheers!
Lyle

Update 7 am Sunday May 21. The forecast is now too windy and more westerly than NW, so cancelling my plan.

If the forecast holds I plan to be there about noon. I may adjust the time depending on the hourly wind forecast. Bringing the iSoar and the Sogwing.

Current forecast at noon is 18-27 kph NW 19C. Gets slightly better later.

I plan to be there too. Keeping fingers crossed that the wind forecast doesn't deteriorate any further.

Saturday May 27 is our season opener. The forecast is good for flying and we are hoping for a good turnout. Bring any sailplane type you want to fly. If you are not certified to CAR Part IX and have planes less than 250g, bring them along.

We expect to start flying around 9am and there will be a BBQ lunch.

If you have not been to the Burford field before, the address is 100 Fifth Concession Road, Brant. Enter the sod farm on the track to the right of the farm buildings and left of the brick house.

Hope to see you there,
Andy
