Our activity is so weather-dependent and the weather is so changeable, that our flying sessions are usually planned on pretty short notice.

If you'd like to have some company when you fly, you can easily start a flying session by scrolling to the bottom of this page and clicking on "Leave a reply" to this Topic. Just indicate the day, and time that you intend to arrive at the field, and invite other members to join you.

Or, you can "Leave a reply" to accept another person's invitation to form a flying session. People intending to join in should post a Reply, because multiple Replies fuel additional interest.

To "Leave a reply", you will need log in to the Message Board using the username and password that were issued to you. If you've lost them, you can use the lost your password functionality to trigger a password reset - if you do not see a response within a few minutes, be sure to check your Junk/SPAM folder for the password reset email.

If you are not able to complete a reset because your registered email address is not current you can either register with a new username OR Contact our Website Administrator Tim Glover <tglover51@hotmail.com> for additional assistance.

Note that new registrations require manual administrative review so there may be an additional delay if you choose this option.

I am back in town for 4 days and want to get some flying in but not by myself (boring). Anyone planning to go tomorrow (Thursday) or Friday or Saturday?

Let me know.

Evening!
I have been talking to Paul and we are planning on hitting the Skyway at 9 am for breakie on Thursday morning! We will then proceed to the Burford flying field, arriving around 10:15 am ish. Winds look to be strong, so will probably only fly our Conscendos and maybe my kites!!

Friday, afternoon, if the south winds remain strong enough, we may head to Westover for a sloping session. I will be bringing my Weasel!

Saturday looks marginally better, wind speed wise, so we may all head back for another session at Burford....well, that's the plan at any rate!

Best,

Lyle

Weasel-fest Friday. If winds look good I'll come out too.
Mike K.

UPDATE: Winds look better in the afternoon. I'm planning to be there 12:30 ish.

Morning Fellow Thermal Seekers!
I was just checking the Windfinder forecast for this week and it is showing decent flying conditions, Thursday through to Sunday! I can only go one day, so after checking with Paul and Terry, we are shooting for an early Friday morning flying session at Burford.

I'm hoping to get there early, probably before 9 am and will most likely pack up around 12:30 pm when the heat will be building up.

Best,

Lyle

We’re half way through the season - I hope everyone can take advantage of these great conditions

Please consider posting if you are planning to fly.

See you there!
