Our activity is so weather-dependent and the weather is so changeable, that our flying sessions are usually planned on pretty short notice.

If you'd like to have some company when you fly, you can easily start a flying session by scrolling to the bottom of this page and clicking on "Leave a reply" to this Topic. Just indicate the day, and time that you intend to arrive at the field, and invite other members to join you.

Or, you can "Leave a reply" to accept another person's invitation to form a flying session. People intending to join in should post a Reply, because multiple Replies fuel additional interest.

To "Leave a reply", you will need log in to the Message Board using the username and password that were issued to you. If you've lost them, you can use the lost your password functionality to trigger a password reset - if you do not see a response within a few minutes, be sure to check your Junk/SPAM folder for the password reset email.

If you are not able to complete a reset because your registered email address is not current you can either register with a new username OR Contact our Website Administrator Tim Glover <tglover51@hotmail.com> for additional assistance.

Note that new registrations require manual administrative review so there may be an additional delay if you choose this option.

This is my Sunday morning update! I visited the field on Saturday afternoon and the entranceway has dried up sufficiently imo, to drive on. Winds are predicted to be from the SSW 13-24 kms/hr. Temperature 16-18C! I plan on arriving around 10 am. As you enter, keep to your right and park close to the fence along the west side of the field.

Hope to see y'all there!

Cheers!
Lyle

Morning!
With this continued run of unusually good weather, conditions look favourable for some thermal seeking on Monday. Winds are predicted to be from SSW 12-23 kms/hr. We have to confirm that the entrance to our flying field has sufficiently dried up first and I will do that later on today. With all the warm strong winds lately, I think we should be okay. I will post an update tomorrow.

This will most likely be our last hurrah at the field for this extended season.....but who knows? Nothing is "normal" this year!

Cheers!

Evening!
Thank goodness 9 members made it out to the field on Monday! It was a such a fantastic morning of flying....sunny, 23C! I was out there in a T-shirt and shorts! Unfortunately, early in the afternoon, the sod cutting gang showed up and removed approximately half of the sod on the western side of the field. So the season is over. Today, Terry Dawson and I removed the flight box for winter storage.

Now we wait until May/21 to see where we will be flying next year! Stay safe!

Cheers!
Lyle
