Our activity is so weather-dependent and the weather is so changeable, that our flying sessions are usually planned on pretty short notice.

If you'd like to have some company when you fly, you can easily start a flying session by scrolling to the bottom of this page and clicking on "Leave a reply" to this Topic. Just indicate the day, and time that you intend to arrive at the field, and invite other members to join you.

Or, you can "Leave a reply" to accept another person's invitation to form a flying session. People intending to join in should post a Reply, because multiple Replies fuel additional interest.

To "Leave a reply", you will need log in to the Message Board using the username and password that were issued to you. If you've lost them, you can use the lost your password functionality to trigger a password reset - if you do not see a response within a few minutes, be sure to check your Junk/SPAM folder for the password reset email.

If you are not able to complete a reset because your registered email address is not current you can either register with a new username OR Contact our Website Administrator Tim Glover <tglover51@hotmail.com> for additional assistance.

Note that new registrations require manual administrative review so there may be an additional delay if you choose this option.

Update, Will be there ~10am.
It is forecast to be very windy for the next week, so it looks like the thermal field is unlikely to be flyable in that period. At the moment Westover is looking OK for a short window between ~10 am and early afternoon tomorrow (Thursday). I'll update if it still looks OK Thursday morning with intent.

It's my Saturday morning check in! Just checked the Wind and Waves forecasting site and it's looking really good again for tomorrow! Winds 6-7 kms/hr from the NNE. Might be a tad cool in the early hours. Still planning on arriving around 9 am..ish.

Cheers!

Okay....it's now Friday morning and of course the forecast is changing! However, it still looks doable! Won't be hot that is for sure and the winds from the East will be somewhat stronger than originally predicted. Looks like some rain may come in but later in the afternoon.

At this point, I am still planning on heading to the field unless conditions continue to deteriorate. I will do another post on Saturday morning to confirm.

Cheers!

Good Morning!
I'm back like a bad rash! Lol! Looking ahead for some flying possibilities, this Sunday seems to be an oasis of calmness in a sea of windy conditions. If the forecast holds, I shall be rolling in about 9 am with my 2M Spectra.

Hope to have some company! Y'all come and join me if you can......the season is winding down waaaay too fast!

Cheers!
Lyle

Field is being partially harvested. Stay off until they're finished.
