Our activity is so weather-dependent and the weather is so changeable, that our flying sessions are usually planned on pretty short notice.

If you'd like to have some company when you fly, you can easily start a flying session by scrolling to the bottom of this page and clicking on "Leave a reply" to this Topic. Just indicate the day, and time that you intend to arrive at the field, and invite other members to join you.

Or, you can "Leave a reply" to accept another person's invitation to form a flying session. People intending to join in should post a Reply, because multiple Replies fuel additional interest.

To "Leave a reply", you will need log in to the Message Board using the username and password that were issued to you. If you've lost them, you can use the lost your password functionality to trigger a password reset - if you do not see a response within a few minutes, be sure to check your Junk/SPAM folder for the password reset email.

If you are not able to complete a reset because your registered email address is not current you can either register with a new username OR Contact our Website Administrator Tim Glover <tglover51@hotmail.com> for additional assistance.

Note that new registrations require manual administrative review so there may be an additional delay if you choose this option.

TOO WINDY, EVEN FOR THE SLOPE

I'm keeping an eye on the forecast for Friday morning at the field. Looks good right now. Andy

Who parked the tractor in the field entrance?

Dick:
We don't know why the tractor is parked in the driveway blocking access. Ann Tekatch was there on Sunday afternoon and it was still there but there was also a lot of machinery parked in the field opposite. I am heading out Monday morning to see if it is still there. If it is still there, I'll let Ann Tekatch know, and she will be phoning Peter Rawurda, the manager at Greenhorizons to try and find out what's going on. A notice will be sent to all members just as soon we can find out what's happening. Thanks for letting us know.

Regards,
Lyle

GH is working the field across the road from us and using our field as a parking & staging area. This morning it looks like they're almost finished across the road. I will check this evening and post status.

I would recommend staying off the field today.

Evening!
Thank you Ann for checking out the field tonight and giving it the all clear! Tomorrow I plan to be at the field around 10 am. with my 15 & 17 year old grandsons. We will be attempting to fly our little electric Sport Cubs but I will also be bringing my Radian Pro. No high starts for me tomorrow. Supposed to be a primo flying day tomorrow! : )

Cheers!
Lyle

Updated:10:45am - got to the field about 10 to find rain storms forming to the south of the field. Jim confirmed it was already raining in Cayuga. Decided not to risk it and went home. The field box is damaged - either someone tried to pry the top board up or the boards have buckled and pulled apart.

Ann

Wind forecast is for SW winds about 10kph. 😊

I plan to arrive about 10:00am and stay until lunch-ish. Flying electrics.

Ann
