Our activity is so weather-dependent and the weather is so changeable, that our flying sessions are usually planned on pretty short notice.

If you'd like to have some company when you fly, you can easily start a flying session by scrolling to the bottom of this page and clicking on "Leave a reply" to this Topic. Just indicate the day, and time that you intend to arrive at the field, and invite other members to join you.

Or, you can "Leave a reply" to accept another person's invitation to form a flying session. People intending to join in should post a Reply, because multiple Replies fuel additional interest.

To "Leave a reply", you will need log in to the Message Board using the username and password that were issued to you. If you've lost them, you can use the lost your password functionality to trigger a password reset - if you do not see a response within a few minutes, be sure to check your Junk/SPAM folder for the password reset email.

If you are not able to complete a reset because your registered email address is not current you can either register with a new username OR Contact our Website Administrator Tim Glover <tglover51@hotmail.com> for additional assistance.

Note that new registrations require manual administrative review so there may be an additional delay if you choose this option.

Saturday Sept 9 is our last organized event of the season, though hopefully there is still at least 6 weeks or so of flying weather left.

Mike Sherlaw is the CD and the event will be for any sailplane, line launch or electric, with a wing span up to 2m. Lyle will be manning the BBQ. So whether or not you intend to participate flying wise, please come out and join your fellow club members for a social gathering and to help out.

Hope to see you there, Andy

Morning!
I have been perusing the Wind and Waves weather site and it looks like this Friday is going to be another primo flying day! Supposedly very low winds speeds! However, I will believe it when I see it! The predictions have not been all that accurate of late. At any rate, I'm going head to the field arriving around 9:45 -10 am. No sense in arriving too early, as the sun doesn't clime too high in the south east at this time of the year.

I'll be watching the weather sites closely for the next few weeks, trying to squeeze in as many flying sessions as possible before the season shuts down completely.

Probably just be flying my 2.9M Inside F5J and a line launcher or two.....

Best,

Lyle

Morning!
Looks like a number of good flying opportunities this coming week, however, I am only available on Wednesday. They are predicated low wind speeds from the South East, so it might be best to set up on the East field again!

Not sure what I'm bringing, but it will most likely be a mix of electric and line launch.

Hope some of you can make it out. The season is winding down, but at least we are getting some good flying opportunities!

Cheers!
Lyle
