Our activity is so weather-dependent and the weather is so changeable, that our flying sessions are usually planned on pretty short notice.

If you'd like to have some company when you fly, you can easily start a flying session by scrolling to the bottom of this page and clicking on "Leave a reply" to this Topic. Just indicate the day, and time that you intend to arrive at the field, and invite other members to join you.

Or, you can "Leave a reply" to accept another person's invitation to form a flying session. People intending to join in should post a Reply, because multiple Replies fuel additional interest.

To "Leave a reply", you will need log in to the Message Board using the username and password that were issued to you. If you've lost them, you can use the lost your password functionality to trigger a password reset - if you do not see a response within a few minutes, be sure to check your Junk/SPAM folder for the password reset email.

If you are not able to complete a reset because your registered email address is not current you can either register with a new username OR Contact our Website Administrator Tim Glover <tglover51@hotmail.com> for additional assistance.

Note that new registrations require manual administrative review so there may be an additional delay if you choose this option.

I am enthused with a good outing this afternoon:-

I took a pair of gloves, and so glad I did. It was cloudy, no sun and the wind was cold. But that did not matter, conditions were great although not constant. Flew for about 65 mins with just very short breaks to pick it up and chuck it again when the wind would drop momentarily. The lift was so strong at times I honestly thought I was not going to be able to bring it down if the wind did not subside. The iSoar-V (has Bob H's wing design) is a joy to fly when the conditions suit it.

I was joined by some Red Tails for a short while and was afraid they were going to attack the plane, but they did not.

Apart from the Red Tails I was very lonely (hint).

Yes, but won't be able to get there until 10 -10:30. Andy

Windy the rest of the week, shame given the sunshine and temperature.

Update at 0814. I aim to be there around 12:30. A bit too windy later on.

If the forecast holds I plan to be at Westover Tuesday (15th) around 2pm. Will update if plans change.

The wind is forecast to decrease in Caledonia Friday afternoon after ~1pm. Is anyone interested in an afternoon flying session? I don't think I'll go unless anyone else is interested. I thought I'd fly electric to save the time of setting up a line.

Please post if interested.

I'll be at Haldibrook field about 2 PM. I'll have to leave for home by 4 PM.

Superforecast says winds @ 1 mph from 9-11 AM. Good opportunity to tune-up my Square Eagle.
Later on, I'm off to the SOGGI Membership Meeting in Rockton.

Good Morning!
You wouldn't know by looking out the window at the moment, but the weather people are predicting a decent day tomorrow! I think it may be our last chance to get on the field before the weather really gets nasty. I will check the weather conditions in the early morning and if they appear to be favourable, I will arrive at the field around 9:30 am..ish.

Cheers!
Lyle
