Annual Club Winter Tour 17 Jan 2012
Following on the heels of this past winter's great technical enrichment tour at Diamond Aircraft we have arranged a tour of the Hamilton Museum of Steam and Technology. Date is Tuesday 17 January 2012 At 11AM. Meet at Museum enterance at 11AM sharp for 1hour or longer guided tour. Dress warm as the pumphouse is a high stone building with minimum heat at foot level. See the fully restored 45 foot high walking beam steam engines turning under electric power, as well as many other engines throughout this national historic site. See all the wonders of a great world class Museum right here on our doorstep. There are some steps to climb if you wish to see the beams close up, still plenty to see if you don't. Museum enterance is at 900 Woodward Avenue near QEW and the Red Hill. w.myhamilton.ca/museums or call Les P for directions. Don't have to book just show up on time. A group lunch following is a possibility.
