NEW AND IMPROVED PROCEDURE:
In this Forum, Contest Directors (or Special Event Directors) are invited to report RESULTS from Contests (or Events) that have already occurred.

UPCOMING Contests and Events are ADVERTISED on our WEBSITE's rolling Calendar of Events. That way, events will automatically be maintained in chronological order, and then deleted from our Calendar of Events after their scheduled date has passed.
To include an event on the SOGGI calendar please contact the Special Events Organizer via the Contacts page on the SOGGI website.

SOGGI Bud Wallace Memorial Event./ Contest.......June 18 ; 2011......

On SATURDAY JUNE 18, 2011 the Southern Ontario Glider Group Inc. will host The annual Bud Wallace Memorial open class R/C Sailplane contest; thermal duration with precision landing points Points for League of Silent Flight (LSF) are under consideration

A Trial event for Electric Powered 2Meter size sailplanes that are are equipt with an Altitude Limiting Motor Shutoff and will operate concurrant with Towline and Winch Launches.
The ATMS devices will be available for loan to those entrants who do not already have them installed.
Thermal Duration and Landing points will recorded for score as in the Unlimited event

Pilot registration starts at 9:15 AM. Proof of MAAC membership is required. Flying begins at 10 AM and as many rounds as weather permits will be flown.

Entry Fee is set at $10.00 for Open Sailplane and $5.00 for the ATMS category.
Prizes will be awarded to 3rd place. In each catagory

Extra winches and Pilots from other clubs are always welcome
