SOGGI will again participate in the HERITAGECON model aircraft show on SUNDAY 6 MARCH 2011 at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum in Mt Hope. Not in february as previously announced. Sundays show runs from 09:00 to 16:00 h. Members should set up the club display with models after 18:00h on Saturday 5 March. Models can also be set up before 09:00h on Sunday for those who do not wish to make two trips.
Throughout Saturday evening during set up there will be pizza and open cockpit tours of the emuseum's aircraft not normally open to the public. Please contact Les P by phone if you are able to participate or loan a plane for showing. This show has afforded SOGGI the opportunity to explain the design, building and flying of model sailplanes to a wide audience within our local area. In addition it provides an opportunity to talk with fellow modellers and meet some interesting people. Hope you can make.it.
