Otto Bandman TD event..July 17th, 2010
Will be planning a TD event...in the Man-on-Man format.
Open duration, but might consider a class differentiation if a lot of smaller
lighter birds show up..eg..2 meter...but everyone called to the line flies in the same weather.
Man-on-Man is basically a window of flight oportunity to do a designated task.
Usually starts with a 7 minute duration and landing points, due to early lack of thermal development
and will increase the duration during the course of the day. CD's discretion.
A small break between rounds...this should allow us the chance to get in about 6 or 7 rounds..
unless we get swamped with contestants...including a lunch break. Bring extra batteries...!!!
A round will typically be 30 minutes.
Score cards must be handed in within 5 minutes of the close of each task window..[time for the
last down to retrieve and measure] or a zero will be allotted for the flight..(must keep score keeper busy...!!!)
Pilots meeting by 09:30 latest..and all will be made known.
For those of you who have not flown M.O.M. before, an excellent chance to do so will be at
Bob Hammett's event on the 19 June..Buds Golden Oldies.
And it's all in the name of fun...I will not construct a gallows for this event...!!!
So bring it on....
