NEW AND IMPROVED PROCEDURE:
In this Forum, Contest Directors (or Special Event Directors) are invited to report RESULTS from Contests (or Events) that have already occurred.

UPCOMING Contests and Events are ADVERTISED on our WEBSITE's rolling Calendar of Events. That way, events will automatically be maintained in chronological order, and then deleted from our Calendar of Events after their scheduled date has passed.
To include an event on the SOGGI calendar please contact the Special Events Organizer via the Contacts page on the SOGGI website.

August 19, 2023 Electric Event

We had 5 pilots turn out today intending to fly. It was quite windy though and only 4 decided to fly given the conditions. You couldn't ask for a wider range of wing span, from an Xplorer, Osprey and Bubble Dancer to a Micro Radian. I have to commend Terry D for putting up the Micro Radian in the conditions and it seemed to have more penetration than my BD. With the windy conditions landing was difficult, but as usual Alex showed us how to do it. His high landing score reflects a first round bonus of 5x where he nailed the button.

Thanks also to Ann for helping out and Oldrich and Alan for the social visit.
