NEW AND IMPROVED PROCEDURE:
In this Forum, Contest Directors (or Special Event Directors) are invited to report RESULTS from Contests (or Events) that have already occurred.

UPCOMING Contests and Events are ADVERTISED on our WEBSITE's rolling Calendar of Events. That way, events will automatically be maintained in chronological order, and then deleted from our Calendar of Events after their scheduled date has passed.
To include an event on the SOGGI calendar please contact the Special Events Organizer via the Contacts page on the SOGGI website.

Aug 11 Club Contest

We had 10 people show up today, on a beautiful day of flying. 7 of those pilots flew in the contest.

Thanks to Dave, Tom, and Terry for assisting with the contest.

The contest consisted of 6 rounds, with 2 each of 4, 7, and 10 minute tasks, pilots choice (ie Pilots can push on to a higher duration while in the air, but need to match the tasks). Scores were normalized to 1000pts per round + landing bonus. And as a first, there was a Standard subclass for those flying 100" or smaller sailplanes.

Contest Results are as follows.

For Open Class

Bob H. - 6086
Adam M. - 5870
Otakar K. - 5655
Ray M. - 5469
Jim L. - 4859
Andy M. - 4330
Lyle J. - 3128

And Lyle takes the win for Standard class with his 3128 point finish.
