NEW AND IMPROVED PROCEDURE:
In this Forum, Contest Directors (or Special Event Directors) are invited to report RESULTS from Contests (or Events) that have already occurred.

UPCOMING Contests and Events are ADVERTISED on our WEBSITE's rolling Calendar of Events. That way, events will automatically be maintained in chronological order, and then deleted from our Calendar of Events after their scheduled date has passed.
To include an event on the SOGGI calendar please contact the Special Events Organizer via the Contacts page on the SOGGI website.

*** UPDATE: AUG.15 - CONTEST IS CANCELLED. Due to the high winds forecasted for Saturday, we will be rescheduling.

***UPDATE: AUG.13 - The weather for Saturday is looking poor at this point and we may have to reschedule this event for later in the year. A final decision will be made by Friday 6:00pm.***

We will be having an altitude-limited electric sailplane (ALES) contest on Saturday, August 16 at the field. There is no entry fee and certificates will be awarded to third place. Pilots' meeting will be at 9:30 and flying is to start at 10:00. This is an open contest. Sailplanes should be equipped with an altitude-limiting device. At the CD's discretion, pilots may be allowed a timed motor run if they do not have an altitude limiting device.

Please come out and support your club. Hope to see you all there.
