Thanks to everyone who participated in, helped, watched or photographed our first contest of the season this past Saturday, June 28. The Budd Wallace 2Meter Thermal Duration contest saw very hot competition and not just because of the weather! Our top two competitors were separated by less than 19 points! Congratulations to Neville for his first place finish and to our fearless leader, Ray, for his very close second!!
Special thanks to our international guest, Paul Smith, who made the drive up from New York state to experience his first sailplane competition; to Lyle Jeakins for taking photos (which will appear in TASK or on our photo page), and to Larry Literovich for joining us from GNATS!!

Budd Wallace Memorial Contest - Sat. June 28
Our first contest of the season will be a thermal duration contest for UNpowered sailplanes having a maximum wingspan of 2meters. Pilots' meeting will be at 9:30. No entry fee. Attaboys/attagirls to the top three pilots.Contact me for any further info:
