Got an altitude limited electric sailplane ? Come join the fun at SOGGI's ALES#2 open-class altitude limited electric sailplane contest.

The contest will be held at one of SOGGI's sod farm flying sites near Mount Hope Ontario. Final site selection will be announced here, closer to the Contest date. Proof of MAAC membership is required. Pilot registration starts at 9:30 AM. Flying begins at 10:00 AM and as many Man-on-Man rounds as weather permits will be flown.

There will be no entry fee, but even so, coveted Attaboys (or Attagirl's, as appropriate) will be awarded to 3rd place together with cash prizes.

The Contest will conform to the spirit of the ALES League rules ... see http://ales-league.org/alesleaguerules.pdf

The contest is open to any MAAC or AMA pilot having any electric R/C sailplane equipped with an altitude limited throttle set for a 200 Meter/30 second cut-off. If you don't have an altitude limiter, please visit http://www.soaringcircuits.com or http://www.wingedshadow.com/

Visiting pilots are advised to contact CD Bob Hammett beforehand, to receive driving directions and any subsequent updates concerning weather postponements or location changes (ph 519-759-1939 or e-mail the_hammetts@rogers.com).

Pilots from other clubs are always welcome. If any of the above sounds threatening, don't worry. We can MAKE you have fun. Resistance is futile.
