Wednesday, June 3rd/26, Burford Flying Session!

Morning:

Terry and I are planning on arriving at the Burford Flying Field around 10 am tomorrow. On Monday, the forecast for was really light wind conditions but now they are predicting 11-17 kph from the NW at 10 am, sunny and 20C! Not perfect, but we are going for it anyways.

Hope others can make it out as well.

Thanks Tim for the heads up. Unfortunately I'm tied up all this week until Friday and then it's the fun fly at the weekend. Hope you guys have good soaring weather. Last Tuesday was good though I was lonely.

June is starting out on the right foot - At the moment, Monday Tuesday, and Wednesday have some potential for great flying weather.

i am aiming for Tuesday at the moment but will monitor conditions as they develop and may post additional days and/or updates.

i plan to fly my (finally repaired) DLG, electrics and high-start models.

i will be at the field by around 10:30

i really hope that others are able to join - see you there!

Afternoon!

Well, it would appear, I was really out of sync with this week's weather! Monday and today, Wednesday...perfect! Thursday and Friday's forecast look ominous for soaring! Very gusty winds predicted...again! Bah!

I've learned my lesson.... wait until the night of, before posting about a potential flying weather window! The weather has in my opinion, been very unstable.

As of 5pm Monday Tuesday still looks OK. Wind forecast 15-23 kph and 25C by 1pm. So I will be there around 10-10:30. Winds will likely be higher than forecast as usual but not too drastic hopefully.

Monday's forecast looks quite decent! But I can't make it out. Tuesday's is trending upward to higher wind speeds and gusts. Not feeling it, so I will not be coming out as planned. : ( At this point, I am planning on salvaging the week with a Friday flying session.

Yeah, I just checked and Monday's forecast looks to be better than Tuesday's which is predicting stronger winds with higher gusts. However, I have committed to flying on Tuesday. Paul, Randy, and Andy have indicated they will be there as well.
